This is a guided meditation with several silent styles of body oriented that Ed has used for transforming extreme states over the years. He now uses almost exclusively Zazen and silent or contemplative prayer. All diagnoses benefit from mindfulness and meditation: anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia in Ed’s experience if taught skillfully. If you begin to experience something that bothers you quit and do something else, especially physical that you enjoy.
In the styles presented here you can if beginning center on the voice on the recording. When you are moved to begin experimenting with one or another of the various particular styles. Experiment. Find what works for you. This may change over time. As Bernie Glassman said to Ed in an interview “Nothing works all the time.”
